The dark web requires skills and understanding to access and investigate safely and effectively. In "Illuminating the Dark Web," learners will explore the different dark nets and the challenges of attribution. The course will cover how to configure your client to safely access and search the dark web, as well as monitor and investigate it.
Hands-on experience will be a key component, and learners will gain practical skills in accessing the dark web. By the end of the course, students will have a deep understanding of the dark web and be able to use OSINT techniques to navigate and investigate it safely and effectively.

Identify and investigate different types of actors on the dark web, such as marketplaces, forums, and illicit services.
Identify dark web communication channels, including encrypted messaging and email services.

Illuminating The Dark Web is a one-day instructor-led course with a focus on practical activities – due to the hands-on nature of the course, groups are limited to 15. We will provide post-course resources and further reading to maximise learning outcomes and underpin students’ ongoing professional development.
